New Requirements for the Training of International Chinese Language Teachers in the New Era—An Analysis Based on the “Professional Competence Standards for International Chinese Language Teachers”

%X 为顺应新时代国际中文教育科技赋能的发展趋势,《国际中文教师专业能力标准》(2022)应运而生,为国际中文教师的培养与专业发展提供依据。通过与《国际汉语教师标准》(2012年版)的对比,本文发现新版标准在总体框架上有较大变动,标题大都发生了变化,更凸显国际中文教师的专业发展、专业实践、专业信念和教育知识;在具体描述上,细化了旧版标准中职业道德、第二语言习得知识、课堂组织与管理这三方面的要求,同时新增了专业知识、专业技能、专业实践的相关内容,更加强调学习者的地位,彰显教育技术的重要性。在此基础上,对教师培养、中文教学提出建议。
In order to comply with the development trend of technology-enabled international Chinese language education in the new era, the “Professional Competence Standards for International Chinese Language Teachers” (2022) came into being, providing a basis for the training and professional development of international Chinese language teachers. By comparing it with the “Standards for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages” (2012), this paper finds that the new standard has changed greatly in the overall framework. The titles of the modules have mostly changed to highlight the professional development, professional practice, professional beliefs and educational knowledge of international Chinese language teachers. In terms of specific description, professional ethics, knowledge of second language acquisition, and classroom organization and management in the new standard are detailed. At the same time, some specific requirements have been added to professional knowledge, professional skills and professional practice, which emphasize the status of learners and highlight the importance of educational technology. On this basis, some suggestions on teacher training and Chinese Language teaching are put forward.
