The familiar phrase “joyfully integrated” comes from the ending poem of Zheng Bo Ke Duan Yu Yan. The interpretation of the words “rongrong” and “yiyi” has long been controversial. Some scholars have proposed new interpretations, but they are still open to discussion. Pre-Qin poetry, repre-sented by The Book of Songs, often used “analogy” in its creation, and this poem is no exception. “rong” suggests the warmth of the sun outside the tunnel, meaning “bright and clear”, indicating a warming relationship. “yi” suggests the flowing water inside the tunnel, meaning “relaxed and un-hurried appearance”, metaphorically describing a relaxed atmosphere. %K 《左传》,融融,洩洩,赋比兴
