In order to achieve the goal of the ¡°Double Reduction¡± policy, it is necessary to focus on the implementation of measures to strengthen process evaluation as proposed in the ¡°General Plan for Deepening Education Evaluation Reform in a New Era¡±. Therefore, the article will analyze the current situation of the research from three aspects: the connotation of ¡°Double Reduction¡± and process evaluation, process evaluation under ¡°Double Reduction¡± and process evaluation in English teaching, and look forward to the future development trend, with the aim of implementing the ¡°Double Reduction¡± policy and giving full play to process evaluation.
