Linxian dialect belongs to the Lishi small piece of the Lyu Liang piece of the Jin language, which has six tones: Yin Ping, Yang Ping, Shang Sheng, Qu Sheng, Yin Ru and Yang Ru. At present, there are few articles on the use of experimental phonetics to study this dialect. In this paper, the tone of the Linxian dialect is studied by the acoustic experiment method of experimental phonetics, and the tone type and tone value of single-character and double-character tones are described and summarized. The results show that the monosyllabic tone type is basically consistent with the previous studies, but there are differences in the specific tone values, for example, Yin Ping 13, Yang Ping 33, Shang Sheng 513, Qu Sheng 52, Yin Ru 33, and Yang Ru 12. Disyllabic words include general disyllabic words and overlapping disyllabic words, and there are some differences between them. In the general disyllabic words, Yin Ping, Shang Sheng and Yang Ru whether it is the first word or the last word will become a falling or flat tone; no matter as the first word or the last word, the Qu Sheng does not change tone; when Yang Ping is the first word, it does not change its tone, and when it is the last word, it becomes a falling tone or rising tone. When Yin Ru is in the front word, it becomes a falling tone, and when it is in the back word, it does not change its tone. In the overlapping disyllabic words, the word before Shang Sheng changes to the fall tone and the word after it keeps the base tone; Yin Ru is opposite to Shang Sheng; other tone changes are consistent with the general disyllabic words.
