Rousseau expressed his ideas on reforming natural and knowledge education through the book “Emile.” He advocated the practicality, interest, naturalness, and freedom of knowledge education. At the same time, he proposed that imparting knowledge is not the core of education; instead, education should return to its essence, taking the comprehensive development of individual freedom as the fundamental goal. Therefore, in the process of knowledge education, attention should be paid to children’s moral qualities and physical growth. Rousseau’s insights into reforming the content and methods of knowledge education still hold significant implications and inspirations for today’s educational reforms.
