Social death derives from sociology and originally refers to the exclusion and isolation of a certain group of people by a group or society. This paper finds that since the emergence of “social death” in network communication in China, its semantics have undergone many changes. From “self-mockery” and “seeking comfort” at the beginning, it has developed into online public opinion violence and online infringement. At the same time, this article also believes that if properly guided, “social death” can also have the effect of public opinion supervision. %K 社会性死亡,自嘲,网络舆论暴力,舆论监督
