Based on the data from 2011~2022 on energy consumption in China’s construction industry, this study applies a mediation model to examine the impact of environmental regulations on emission reduction and the mediating role of green technology innovation. Results show that environ-mental regulations positively impact emission reduction, while green technology innovation partially mediates this effect. However, environmental regulations may also suppress green technology innovation. %K 环境规制,绿色技术创新,建筑业减排,中介效应模型
