%X <span style=\"font-size:14px;\">通识教育的目的在于提高学生的思想文化素养并培养学生的批判性思维能力。随着教育现代化的发展，我国各高校注重培养高素质创新型人才，相继推出了通识教育课程。本研究结合东莞理工学院通识教育课程体系的构建，介绍了通识教育的内涵，并探讨了通识教育在地方应用型高校本科生培养中所发挥的重要作用。</span><br />
<span style=\"font-size:14px;\">The purpose of general education is to improve students’ ideological and cultural literacy and cultivate their critical thinking ability. With the development of educational modernization, various universities in China focus on cultivating high-quality and innovative talents, and have successively launched general education courses. This study combines the construction of the general education curriculum system at Dongguan University of Technology, introduces the connotation of general education, and explores the important role of general education in the cultivation of undergraduate students in local applied universities.</span>
