Research and Enlightenment on the Connotation Construction of the Open University in UK %A 何晓红 %A 何苗 %J Advances in Education %P 3441-3445 %@ 2160-7303 %D 2023 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/AE.2023.136543 %X “开放教育”最早起源于17世纪的西方国家,从开放教育诞生以来,“开放”一词就被赋予了多元性和包容性内涵。英国是开放大学的发源地,也为世界各国提供了丰富的开放教育经验。研究发现:英国开放大学坚持学习对象开放、学习地点开放、教学方法开放以及观念开放,为全球的157个国家及地区的200多万学生提供了终身、可持续的教育。其成功源于诸多因素,譬如办学机制灵活、学生支持服务,可持续发展等。因此,对英国开放大学的内涵建设的研究可以启示我们如何进行更合理、更符合国情、更有利于本土开放大学开展专业建设具有较强的实践指导意义。
“Open education” was originated in Western countries in the 17th century. Since the birth of open education, the word “open” has been endowed with pluralistic and inclusive connotation. The UK is the birthplace of the Open University and has provided rich experience in open education for the rest of the world. Research findings: The Open University in the UK adheres to open learning objects, places, teaching methods and ideas, and provides lifelong and sustainable education for more than 2 million students in 157 countries and regions around the world. Its success is due to a number of factors, such as a flexible school system, student support services, and sustainable development and so forth. Therefore, the research on the connotation construction of the British Open University can enlighten us on how to carry out the professional construction of the local Open University in a more reasonable way, more in line with the national conditions and more conducive to the development of the local Open University has strong practical guiding significance. %K 英国,开放大学,内涵建设
