%X 褪黑素是一种非常保守的小分子吲哚胺类激素，植物褪黑素的开发始于上世纪九十年代，起初是基于对动物褪黑素的了解，后来才开始研究植物褪黑素的存在、不同植物中含量的变化，然后不断改进褪黑素的检测技术及提取方法，进而研究其生理功能与特性，现在关于褪黑素的应用已经越来越广泛，各个领域都不同程度地享受着植物褪黑素带来的利益。本文主要对褪黑素的发现、特性、生理功能、合成代谢途径等研究进展进行综述。<br />
Melatonin is a kind of very conservative small molecular indoleamine hormone. The development of plant melatonin began in the 1990s. At first, it was based on the understanding of animal mela-tonin. Later, it began to study the existence of plant melatonin and the change of content in different plants. Then it constantly improved the detection technology and extraction method of melatonin, and then studied its physiological function and characteristics. Now, it is closed the application of melatonin has become more and more extensive, and all fields enjoy the benefits of plant melatonin in varying degrees. In this paper, the discovery, characteristics, physiological functions and metabolic pathway of melatonin were reviewed.
