In order to study the effects of open porosity, open porosity and steel yield strength on the failure form and bending bearing capacity of high-strength steel castellated beams under pure bending, a numerical model of ordinary steel castellated beams was established by using ABAQUS finite element software, and the reliability of the model was verified by tests in the literature. On this basis, the influences of the parameters under four-point loading on failure forms, yield loads and peak loads of high-strength steel castellated beams are studied. The degree of web weakening (opening rate and shape) has an important effect on the failure form of high-strength steel castellated beams under pure bending. The yield strength of steel is the main factor affecting the flexural capacity of high-strength steel castellated beams. Compared with the castellated beam with the yield strength of 460 MPa, the steel castellated beam with the yield strength of 690 MPa is adopted. The ultimate flexural capacity can be increased by 41%. However, with the increase in steel strength, the ductility of castellated beams decreases significantly. Therefore, it is recommended that the optimum value of castellated beams opening rate is 55%, and the optimum value of steel yield strength is 550 MPa.
