Activating transcription factor 3 (ATF3) is a member of the ATF/cyclic AMP response element binding (ATF/CREB) transcription factor family. It’s a stress-induced transcription factor that plays a vital role in regulating metabolism, immunity and tumorigenesis. In recent years, a large number of studies have shown that ATF3 plays a key role in the occurrence, development, treatment and prognosis of cancer. ATF3 can promote or inhibit cancer depending on cell type and environment. In this paper, the role of ATF3 in breast cancer, prostate cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer and other malignant tumors is reviewed, which will provide a theoretical basis for the deep-er research and application in the field of cancer. %K 转录激活因子3,肿瘤,信号通路,作用机制
