The use of medicinal plants, for preventive, therapeutic purposes or for oral hygiene, falls within the professional capacity of doctors-stomatologists and dental surgeons. But they have to be competent in the matter, especially since no plant is harmless. After regulatory information, for documentary purposes, some examples of use are reported and, finally, an opening towards systemic herbal medicine. This study will contribute to the development and sustainable management of plant resources used in oral pharmacopoeia in Morocco.
