From the ecological perspective, an empirical study is conducted on college English teachers¡¯ teaching competence and its development in curriculum-based values education. This study establishes a framework of college English teachers¡¯ teaching competence in curriculum-based values education, which consists of three dimensions, namely, cultivation literacy, disciplinary literacy and teaching competence. And each dimension has been further subdivided into 14 specific aspects. The study then analyzes influencing factors contributing to the development of their teaching competence based on the ecological systems theory model, and finally puts forward ways to develop the teaching competence.
