“Andrew’s brain” is the last novel of E. L. Doctorow. Different from the previous novels focusing on American history, Doctorow’s “Andrew’s Brain” focuses on the brain and psychological activities of the characters. By depicting the various problems of subjectivity existing in the contemporary era, it suggests Doctorow’s the post-humanism reflection in the post-human era where the boundaries between humans and non-humans are blurred, boundaries blurred after human age, for human subject after humanism reflection, and hints at Doctorow’s hope to seek new type of subject to get rid of the existential crisis of the human subject. %K E.
