The Illusory Way of Coming and Returning—A Review of the Study on the Image of Ge Weilong in Ashes of Descending Incense—First Brazier %A 耿维蔓 %J World Literature Studies %P 358-366 %@ 2330-5266 %D 2022 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/WLS.2022.103056 %X 《沉香屑?第一炉香》是张爱玲的代表作之一,其中塑造的葛薇龙这一悲剧女性形象深入人心,也引发了学界的讨论和持续研究。本文围绕葛薇龙形象,将现有的研究成果分为葛薇龙堕落的发展历程、堕落的原因、特定物品对其形象的象征意义、与其他作品中的艺术形象的比较以及这一形象的意义等五个方面展开细致归类、深入分析与总结,并提出目前在葛薇龙形象研究方面存在的不足。
As one of Zhang Ailing’s representative works, Ashes of Descending Incense—First Brazier has deeply rooted the tragic female image of Ge Weilong, which has also triggered discussion and continuous research in the academic circles. Focusing on the image of Ge Weilong, this paper divides the existing research results into five aspects: the development process of Ge Weilong’s degradation, the reasons for its degradation, the symbolic significance of specific objects to its image, the comparison with the artistic image in other works, and the significance of this image.
