Exploration and Application of Literature-Reading Aided Seminar Teaching Model—Taking the Course of General Linguistics as an Example %A 刘秀梅 %J Modern Linguistics %P 1643-1648 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2022 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ML.2022.108221 %X 《英语语言学》是英语专业高年级的一门专业核心课程,其教学内容高度理论化、抽象化,课堂教学中存在学生参与度底、课堂教学效能差和学生差异化需求不能完全满足等问题。Z校《英语语言学》教学团队,经过多年摸索,逐步形成文献阅读支持下研讨式课堂教学模式。实践表明,学生在相关文献支持下积极进行新知识建构,研讨式教学模式可以更好地发挥学生在课堂中的主体作用;课堂研讨还有利于激发学生学习兴趣、培养学生思辨能力;通过文献阅读和课堂研讨,学生应用语言学理论知识指导语言学习和语言研究的能力也能得到提升。
“General Linguistics” is one of the core courses for senior English majors. The course is featured as highly theoretical and abstract in teaching content. Students’ classroom participation and classroom teaching effectiveness are relatively low. Students’ individualized learning needs cannot be satisfied. To solve the afore-mentioned problems, the teaching team of “General Linguistics” in University Z proposed and practiced literature-reading aided seminar teaching model. It is found that students’ initiative role of classroom exploration can function better with this model. With the assistance of previously reviewed literatures, students are expected to construct the new knowledge proactively. Seminar based classroom discussion can stimulate students’ interests in linguistic theory and enhance students’ critical thinking ability. Students’ ability of applying linguistic knowledge in their language learning and research can also be improved by reading literatures and having classroom seminars. %K 文献阅读,研讨式教学,《英语语言学》
