%X Background:</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> Encephalocele is defined as the externalization of brain tissue and/or meninges
out of the skull through a congenital bone defect. It</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">¡¯s</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> a rare congenital malformation with </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">a </span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">high risk of mortality and
morbidity. Unfor</span><span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">tunately, Prenatal
diagnostic is still rare. </span><span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Aims:</span><i> </i></span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">The
aim is to describe the main characteristic of this malformation and the optimal
management to impr</span></span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">ove the prognosis. </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Case Presentation:</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> we report the case of 32-year-old women
diagnosed at 34 week</span></span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">s</span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> gestation
with a live fetus with occipital encephalocele. </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Conclusion:</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> Through this case and the review of the literature
we will highlight the diagnostic sources in order to improve the diagnosis and
the management.
