The Manipulation behind Chinese Translation of the African American Vernacular English —Taking Two Chinese Versions of Gone with the Wind as an Example %A 王若菡 %A 李文婕 %J Modern Linguistics %P 469-476 %@ 2330-1716 %D 2022 %I Hans Publishing %R 10.12677/ML.2022.103059 %X 美国黑人英语作为一种备受争议的语言,其翻译受到社会文化等因素的操纵,因而不同历史时期的译本呈现出多样化的风格。本文从操纵理论出发,分析《飘》的两个译本中黑人英语翻译方法特征及其原因。首先介绍黑人英语以及黑人英语的翻译方法。其次系统梳理操纵理论的思想核心和主要内容。最后以《飘》中黑人英语的翻译为例,分析傅东华和朱攸若这两个有代表性的译本,并利用操纵理论阐释两个译本背后的影响因素,为黑人英语的翻译研究提供一个思路。
As a special dialect, African American Vernacular English (AAVE) translation is manipulated by social and cultural factors, so the translations in different historical periods show diversified styles. This paper will start from the manipulation theory and analyze differences in AAVE translation methods and their reasons in the two versions of Gone with the Wind. First, introduce AAVE and AAVE translation methods. Secondly, it systematically sorts out the background of manipulation theory and the core of thought. Finally, taking the translation of AAVE in Gone with the Wind as an example, a comparative analysis of two representative translations of Fu Donghua and Zhu Youruo, and using manipulation theory to explain the influencing factors behind the two translations, to provide for further AAVE translation studies an idea. %K 美国黑人英语,翻译,操纵理论,《飘》
