Chiayi County, Taiwan, a total of 32 adult spiders of Salticidae were
identified, comprising 15 species from 13 genera. This paper describes 3 new
species and 6 newly recorded species as follows: </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Microbianor formosana</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> sp. nov., </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Euophrys
taiwanus</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> sp. nov., and </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Evarcha
chiayiensis</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> sp. nov.; </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Carrhotus
tristis</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">, </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Evarcha bulbosa</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">, </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Menemerus bivittatus</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">, </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Plexippus petersi</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">, </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Rhene rubrigera</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">, and </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Synagelides
zhilcovae</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">. The males distinguish them from other congeners. In addition,
the female </span><i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">Sibianor pullus</span></i><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> is
described for the first time. Species morphologies and detailed structures are
depicted in micrographs to compensate for the lack of textual description.
