The main purpose of this research is to study how variables including college students’ gender, grade, income, home location, and major impact students’ perception, attitude, and willingness to purchase genetically modified (GM) foods. An electronic-based questionnaire is distributed to all the students in one of the universities in Guangxi. The statistics software, SPSS 26.0, is utilized for data analysis. Results of this study show that: 1) Males’ perception regarding GM food is higher than females; 2) Students who live in the urban areas has higher perception compared to those who live in the rural areas; 3) For the perceptions of GM foods, there are significant differences among different college grades students. Seniors score significantly higher than sophomores. There are no significant differences among different grades of students’ attitude and purchasing behaviors regarding GM foods; 4) Family monthly incomes have no effect on college students’ attitude and willingness to purchase GM foods. Family monthly incomes have significant effect on students GM foods perception; students with a family monthly income—7001~10,000 scores higher than other students; however, the results were not significant; 5) There are positive correlations among college students’ perception, attitude, and purchasing behaviors regarding GM foods. When students’ perception of GM foods is higher, students’ attitude is also higher. The higher scores of GM attitude, the higher the perception, and the higher the willingness to purchase.
