purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">the gas</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> production, gas use </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">and</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> gas flaring on </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">economic</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> growth of the
Republic of Congo during the period 2006-2019. The results of the unit root
test </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">reveal</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> that the bulk of variables
are stationary at </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">level</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> and therefore
integrated of order zero, however</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">,</span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> labor input </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">which</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> is stationary at </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">first</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> difference and integrated of order
one. The test of Johansen cointegration shows </span></span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">that </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">all time</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> series are cointegrated and have a long-run
equilibrium relationship.</span><span style=\"font-family:&quot;\"> </span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">We also
perform the Granger-causality test which proves that only gas production and
gas utilization cause economic growth in our study. The OLS regressions suggest
gas production impact</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\">s</span><span style=\"font-family:Verdana;\"> adversely and significantly GDP while gas utilization significantly stimulates
GDP.</span>
