In IT organisation rules, policies and procedures are put in place by management in organisations to ensure the IT Infrastructures (Hardware, Software and Network Communication devices) are used effectively to achieve the objectives of the organisation. In order to achieve the objectives, set by management, risks need to be mitigated effectively and adequately. Risk mitigation involves the risk identification, risk decision, risk treatment and risk monitoring and risk report. However, available risk mitigation tools/systems present many weaknesses and above all, they are limited. The objective of this paper is to present a risk mitigation system (RMS) tool for risk decision in mitigating risk that occurs in IT organisation. The RMS is developed based on the risk decision process, for mitigating risk, that has been developed in this research. The tool is developed using multi-software agents and knowledge mapping. Findings from this paper shows how the tool can support mitigation of risk thus providing decision support for IT managers, and IT practitioners in their organisation. %K Risk %K Risk Decisions %K Risk Mitigation %K Software Agents %K Knowledge Mapping %U http://www.jseis.org/Volumes/Vol1/V1N2-3.pdf
