%0 Journal Article %T THE K¨¹TAHYA £¿EHRENGIZ BY AR£¿F %A Ebubekir S. £¿AH£¿N %J - %D 2018 %X ¡°K¨¹tahyal£¿ Arif¡±, meaning Arif from K¨¹tahya, is a 17th century poet, who penned a £¿ehrengiz and a Divan. Spending a great portion of his life in K¨¹tahya, Arif was also appointed as kadi (judge) to other cities. However, there is no mention of other cities in his works but K¨¹tahya. Available earliest sources, which give reference to Arif, quote some of his exemplary couplets from his £¿ehrengiz. But sources dating to later periods refer neither to his Divan nor to his £¿ehrengiz.
