She accepts love as a dominant element of all good and beautiful acts. This author deals critically to love experiences around her. Although she has witnessed that love has gradually turned into a one-person tradition, she does not lose faith in love. From her own perspective, the author successfully explains what love is and sometimes what not to love, and has drawn a broad framework with original metaphors. Having a metaphoric and ironic sense, the writer sometimes uses symbolic characters in her stories, and she always catches magic of love in her stories which have a realistic social view. It is a natural necessary to use concrete concepts to express an abstract concept like love. That is what the analogy is. Moving from weak (abstract) to strong (concrete) requires metaphorical elements. In addition, a less abstract description can be used to describe an abstract concept. In this manner, Kilimci used metaphor as a leverage to convert love, which has a very wide and deep meaning, into a concrete concept. While expressing the concept of love with metaphors, she did not leave her responsibility as writer. Regarding an objective approach, some points may get invisible while expanding a metaphorical idea or making a metaphorical idea clear. She is aware of darkness that the metaphor covers. She gives opportunity to make a sound assessment to readers, by using ironies or other metaphors to make clear the dark aspects that she has gleamed with metaphors. In this study, the metaphors which transfer precious love theme from abstract to concrete field in Ay£¿e Kilimci stories have been determined. Following these metaphors, metaphorical richness and color of the author's view of love have been revealed %K Ay£¿e Kilimci %K a£¿k %K metafor %K hikaye %K soyut kavram %U http://dergipark.org.tr/curesosc/issue/37199/395551
