In addition, students who use scientific facts to explain daily events, like science and are successful in hypothesizing. Experimental and descriptive studies have been carried out on students' associating their knowledge with daily life. Nevertheless, no studies were found to have conducted at the primary school level. Moving from this point, the aim of this study is to elicit the state of primary school 4th graders' ability to associate the knowledge they gain from the science class with daily life. The study adopted a screening research model to explore the association between primary school 4th graders' level of associating the knowledge they gain related to the science class with everyday life and their academic achievements. The study sample consists of total of 39 students recruited in the 2017-2018 academic year from Tokat province central district and villages through the convenient sampling method. In the study, an application form consisting of 20 open-ended questions related to daily events and requiring written answers, and science course grades were used in order to collect data. According to the findings of the study the rate of understanding was found to be low whereas the rate of misunderstanding was higher. When the state of students' academic achievements and their association with daily life events is examined, the rate of understanding was found to be higher among the students with the highest academic achievement levels, however, the highest amount of misunderstanding was found to occur among students with mediocre academic achievement. Also examined in the study was the relationship between the school campus where education is being conducted and the association of science class knowledge with daily life.
