For the sustainable management of these areas, population parameters such as size, density, and structure as well as changes occurred in time in the population due to natality and mortality should be assessed and habitat carrying capacity should be determined by correlating population parameters with the habitat data and environmental resistance. Within this scope, demographic data regarding wild goat population in K£¿yce£¿iz wildlife conservation area has been collected for the 18-year-period from 2001 to 2018 and evaluated in this paper. No statically significant difference has been found regarding the ratios of males, females, and juveniles in the population by years. In terms of sex, there is no statistically significant differences concerning the ratios of females and males in the population while the ratio of juveniles in the population was statistically different compared to the ratios of males and females. The population is comprised of 36 % males, 35.3 % females, and 28.7 % juveniles. There is no statistically significant difference in the ratios of males in the population by years. The ratio of males in population has declined by ages, while two-year-old males constituting 11% of the population,12-year- old males compose only 0.2 % of the population. Birth rate, calculated as the number of offspring per female, has been calculated as 0.8 for the average of 18 years. Based on the information gathered, the sex-age structure pyramid of wild goat population sheltered in the area has been demonstrated. Population has shown a similar growth in accordance with logistic growth model, which can be observed typically in large herbivore mammals in nature, and the carrying capacity of the area for the wild goat population is estimated as 8 individuals per 100 hectares %K Yaban Ke£¿isi %K Capra eagagrus %K habitat ta£¿£¿ma kapasitesi %U http://dergipark.org.tr/dosder/issue/47495/599618
