%0 Journal Article %T EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF MANUAL MOBILIZATION TECHNIQUES IN THE TREATMENT OF HALLUX RIGIDUS: CASE SERIES %A Sibel £¿a£¿lar OKUR %J - %D 2018 %X Hallux Rigidus (HR), which is the osteoarthritis of the toe joint, causes chronic pain especially in advanced ages. Surgical arthrodesis can be planned in the advanced stages, but manual therapy methods can be used to relieve pain and function in early stages. We wanted to investigate the effectiveness of these methods in our study. Eleven patients (7 males, 4 females) with a mean age of 47 ¡À 6.43 were included in the study. The patients were recruited for a total of 5 sessions in a 2-day manual mobization session. The results were evaluated before and after the 2nd week and 4th week, numerical pain scale (VAS), foot function index (FFI), range of motion (ROM). When the results of the patients were evaluated, VAS, FFI (pain, inadequacy and limitation) and ROM showed significant improvement p <0.05.
