%0 Journal Article %T Compilation: Comparison of Family Therapy Models Effected by General System Theory %A Nazl£¿ £¿zburun %J - %D 2018 %X The family therapy movement is a psychotherapy approach, which shows the patient during an individual therapy the importance of the family structure within their healing process. Individuals who complete the therapy, join back to their families, in which again they start to show some pre-therapy symptoms that causes an increased attention on family therapies day by day. As contrasted with individual therapies, family therapies don¡¯t aim to cure the individual, but the whole family system. It is thought that solving the problems of families or couples enables solving an individual¡¯s problems and it also prevents the same problems to occur again. Family therapies base on the fundamentals of the general system theory approach. The process of communities becoming a society takes place with the development of a certain system and hierarchy. Relating to the general system approach, family is defined as a highly systematic construction, which contains at least two individuals sharing a mutual history. The emotional bonds and a common purpose make the individuals grow to a family.
