Genotypes Collected From Central Black Sea Region %A Mehtap £¿zbak£¿r £¿zer %J - %D 2018 %X In this study, collection and characterization of Trachystemon orientalis genotypes naturally grown and consumed in various forms by public in the Central Black Sea Region, Turkey was aimed. Surveys and field studies started in spring of 2011 and were carried out in Samsun, Amasya, Ordu and Tokat provinces where these species were intense. Twenty nine T. orientalis materials were collected and the morphological characterization of the materials collected was performed. Growing horizontally and having rhizome were determined as common feature in the materials. The longest plant height among genotypes was measured in 55 LA 04 (43.7 cm) sample. It was observed that leaves were green, wooly triangular and sharp at the ends, but leaf length and width varied according to genotypes. It was determined that stem length varied between 7 cm and 29.7 cm, and stem width varied between 2 mm and 5.5 mm. The longest length size was measured as 22 cm in 55 HA 04 and the shortest leaf length was measured as 10 cm in 52 UL 01. It was found out that the first flowering in T. orientalis genotypes had purple-colored beautiful flowers and medium sized was observed in the first week of March and harvest maturity was in April. T. orientalis seeds were determined to be oval and black in all of the genotypes. It has been determined that the amount of seed in the plant varied from 0.1 to 21.6 g, and the thousand seed weight of the genotypes varied between 1.6 g (55 £¿A 01) and 3.7 g (55 VE 01). In the study, it was also determined that the most efficient genotype was 55 £¿A 03 (934.5 g plant-1) %K Kald£¿rayak %K Trachystemon orientalis %K Orta Karadeniz B£¿lgesi %K karakterizasyon %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ijaws/issue/40497/424603
