%0 Journal Article %T CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENTS HOSPITALIZED TO CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY DEPARTMENT FROM EMERGENCY SERVICE %A Sema AVCI %J - %D 2018 %X Introduction: Emergency service is the area where patients are first evaluated. Relevant physicians are consulted in emergency services. The aim of this study is evaluation of the patients hospitalized by cardiovascular surgery from emergency service. Method: This retrospective study was conducted in a state hospital between the dates 01.01.2012-01.09.2017. The records of patients hospitalized by cardiovascular surgery from emergency service were reached. The demographic features, hospitalization diagnosis, complication rates, comorbidities, duration of emergency service, complete blood count and bleeding parameters, hospitalization duration and outcomes of patients were evaluated. Results: Records of 146 patients from the automation system were evaluated retrospectively, 88 (62%) of the 142 patients included in the study were male. The most common (39.4%) cause of hospitalization was deep vein thrombosis. 92.3% of the hospitalized patients were discharged with cure. Six patients were referred to an advanced center, one patient refused treatment and four patients died. The most common concomitant disease was hypertension.
