A£¿med £¿¨©s¨¡ Beg notified that there was a hospital in Nusaybin in 14th century in the chapter on B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n-£¿ Na£¿¨©b¨©n of his book entitled T¨¡r¨©£¿ al-B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n¨¡t f¨© al-Isl¨¡m. His argument relied on The Travels of Ibn Ba£¿£¿¨±ta and solely this knowledge was referred to in lots of other works in the literature. Aim of this study is the complementary evaluation of the information regarding the history of B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin existed in the history of Turkish medicine in the light of some new knowledge encountered during our research. Primary sources, which include information on B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin, were determined and studied, then acquired information regarding B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin were presented in the ¡°results¡± section and discussed in the light of literature. B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin was constructed by Jam¨¡l al-d¨©n, the vizier of Zangid Atabegs of Mosul during the age of the Great Seljuk Empire. Ibn Jubayr and Ibn Ba£¿£¿¨±£¿a, in their travel books, made mention of this hospital existed in 1184 and 1327, respectively. There is no information on B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin in Evliya £¿elebi¡¯s travel book. T¨¡r¨©kh Mayy¨¡f¨¡ri£¿¨©n wa ¨¡mid still is the unique book in which Vizier Jam¨¡l al-d¨©n was registered as the founder of B¨©m¨¡rist¨¡n of Na£¿¨©b¨©n/Nusaybin %K Anadolu %K Nusaybin %K Bimaristan %K T£¿p Tarihi %U http://dergipark.org.tr/mutftd/issue/36945/423267
