%0 Journal Article %T THE CLASS£¿CAL PSYCHOLOGY AND ITS BAS£¿C PROBLEMS £¿N THE WORDS OF AL-K£¿ND£¿ %J - %D 2018 %X Al-Kind£¿ is one of the founders of the literature of the Islamic philosophy both terminologically and contextually. Al- Kind£¿¡¯s approach to human can be understood from his analysis on human nature. Al-Kind£¿ who makes a distinction between the body and the soul is on the dualistic manner. Platonist idealism and Aristotelian realism come together in Al-Kind£¿¡¯s understanding of human soul. Al-Kind£¿ who points out that there is a difference between the human soul and intelligence, underlines that they (human soul and intelligence) will unite in the final point. In this manner, he avoids from the sharp difference between both of them. Synthesizing Platonist and Pythagorean approaches to human soul, Al-Kind£¿ gives the metaphysical quality to the intelligence. Evaluating the human nature as thinking, living being and mortal, Al-Kind£¿ emphasizes human¡¯s cosmological integrality because he or she has all spheres of existence. Consequently, Al-Kind£¿ adopts the eclectic manner on human nature.
