%0 Journal Article %T A Case Study on Active Learning Approach in Teacher Education %A G£¿KHAN IZGAR %A G¨¹RB¨¹Z £¿ALI£¿KAN %J - %D 2018 %X The purpose of this study is to evaluate the application of the course through the active learning approach designed for the ¡°Comprehension Techniques 2: Teaching of Listening¡± course in the Turkish Language Teaching curriculum in the faculty of education according to the views of pre-service teachers. This study is a case study which is one of the qualitative research designs. Semi-structured interview protocol is used as the data collection tool. The data were analyzed using content analysis method, one of the qualitative data analysis methods. 32 pre-service teachers have participated in the study on a voluntary basis. Majority of the pre-service teachers (f=34) stated that they learnt the subject matter in the lesson through learning by experiencing, reading, discussing, doing research and with out-of-class activities. However, after analyzing the views of some pre-service teachers (f=20), it is seen that learning has taken place through listening, observing, writing, that is, with the practices in which the learner is passive. Similarly, majority of the pre-service teachers (f=53) stated that what they have learnt is permanent and they can use it in their daily or professional life while some of them (f=8) stated that they believe what they have learnt at the end of this lesson is not permanent and they won¡¯t be using it %K Etkin £¿£¿renme %K dinleme e£¿itimi %K etkin £¿£¿renme etkinlikleri %K £¿£¿retmen adaylar£¿ %K durum £¿al£¿£¿mas£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/cije/issue/41982/457548
