The method of the study is designed as a case study of qualitative research designs. The study group consisted of 92 pre-service teachers studying in mathematics teaching program. The data were collected with a form where pre-service teachers completed the statement ¡°Mathematics activities are like the art of¡­, because¡­¡±. Content analysis was used to analyze the answers of pre-service teachers. The necessary coding of the data obtained in this way was made and appropriate themes were determined. As a result of the evaluations, the metaphorical perceptions of pre-service mathematics teachers towards art were determined under 5 themes. These themes are expressed as mind, profession, mathematical, life and activity.
