%0 Journal Article %T Heritage functioning and preservation in the contemporary Qatari poetry %A Eslam Maher Umara %J - %D 2018 %X This is the title of these pages that address the representaion of the heritage phenomenon and how it is used in the literary text by three Gulf contemporaneous poets; two Qataris ¡° Ahmed Al-Jaber, Abdul-Rahman Al-Maawdah¡±, in addition to the peer contemporaneous Emarati poet ¡°Hamad Bin Khalifa Abu-Shehab¡± to have a more obvious view over the Gulf scene.The aim of this research is to draw the attention to the Gulf poetry and documenting, analyzing and critiquing it in order to explore its position on the poetry map and illustrate the exchange that might happen with the other poetic echoes according to the argumentative of affectedness and influencing. The research is trying to detect the orientations of the poetic text in Gulf as well as tasting its aesthetics with the field of experience and how far they are inspired by the heritage.
