%T Determination of Awarenesses of Local Media in Ensuring the Recognition of Sportive Recreation Services and Facilities Presented in City Centers

%X The aim of this study is to be able to determine the local media organizations¡¯ awareness about providing recognition of sportive recreation services and facilities offered to public in Karaman province. The universe consisted of 24 local media organizations reporting internet-based (except for district news sites) and research group consisted of 6 local media organizations from these 24 sites in Karaman. In this qualitative study, besides personal information questions, sportive recreation, local goverments and madia questions were asked the sampling group composed of owners of 6 local media organizations. Three themes which were sportive recreation, local goverments and media were emerged after thematic content coding. In the direction of the data obtained after the interview with the owners of 6 local media organizations, participants were found to have sufficient knowledge of sportive recreation concept knowledge, content and sportive recreation facilities and services in the Karaman city center. Than findings indicate that the responsible establishment primarily stated as the Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sport by participants. Participants also specified that especially digital media is very effective on the people, they have provided sufficient level of place in their media organs to ensure the awareness of sportive recreation services and facilities and they institutions must cooperate in order to ensure this awareness. As a result, it has been determined that, local media organizations has awareness about providing recognition of sportive recreation services and facilities in city center and they have studies about this providing
