%0 Journal Article %T An Examination of the Early Sources of Mu¡¯tazili and Ash¡¯ari Theology %A Ramy Mahmoud %J - %D 2019 %X This article presents a general approach to the sources of Islamic Theology/Kalam to those who wanted to see it in various doctrines in short. Islamic Theology differs from other sciences in that Islamic Theology itself has many schools and different doctrines. Therefore, identifying one or several sources that apply to doctrines is not easy; This article presents some sources belonging to theology schools, namely Mu¡¯tazila and Ash¡¯ara. The research took into account several things, foremost: reference to the original sources of each of Theologians. And to take as much objectivity as possible, so that research does not support a sect against of another. We mentioned in this article the founder of each sect/irka, the first scholars who have an impact on the sect¡¯s followers. Islamic Theology according to definitions; advocates religion with rational evidence. Unfortunately, while examining the sources; how much this definition is followed and how much attention is paid to this principle can be discussed. This Article has two main chapters. The first one deals with Mu£¿tazila and the second one examines Ash£¿ari theology.
