%0 Journal Article %T The servant leadership perceptions¡¯ effects on organizational climate and organizational commitment of health workers: an example of a public hospital %A Cemil £¿rgev %J - %D 2018 %X Introduction and Objective: There is a growing competitive environment in the health sector. Factors affecting these two concepts, as well as organizational climate and organizational commitment, are very important in order to be ahead of competitors in this competitive environment. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a meaningful relationship between organizational climate and organizational commitment and the servant leadership perceptions of health personnel. Material and Method: This study was carried out between the dates of 30.10.2017 and 30.12.2017 for the employees of a state hospital affiliated with Sakarya Province Public Hospitals Union. During the period of the study, it was applicated to 265 health personnel employed in the hospital which 495 people have actively worked. Participation had been 52,93%. The sampling had been formed by random sample selection technique. In this study, Servant leadership scale developed by Dennis and Bocarnea (2005); Organizational climate scale developed by Robert Stringer; A questionnaire consisting of organizational commitment scale developed by Meyer and Allen and social-demographic characteristics of employees were used as a means of data collection. The validity and reliability analyzes of the scales of the servant leadership, organizational climate and organizational comminment were conducted and the questiones were found valid and reliable. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistical methods, correlation analysis, regression analysis, t test in independent samples, anova analysis and post-hoc analysis were used through IBM SPSS Statistics 24 program and interpretations of the prepared tables were made. Findings and Conclusions: A strong relationship has been found between servant leadership and organizational climate. There is a strong positive relationship between servant leadership and continuity, normative commitment and organizational commitment and sub-factors. It has been determined that servant leadership does not affect the organizational climate. Servant leadership has been found to have a positive effect on organizational commitment.
