In the early times, the people involved in the opposition movements were mostly civilian and military bureaucrats. The aim of the opposition was to remove the Sultan from the administration and renew the parliamentary elections. Previously, a bureaucratic coup was conceived, but these attempts were rendered ineffective by the Sultan and his men each time. In the following times, it is seen that the political opposition leadership passed to the military school students. The secret organizations established by the students in the 1890s had acquired large-scale fans in the 1900s. The activities began to cost more and more public opinion. The students studying in the military academy in these years rebelled as the army officers in 1908. The Assembly was opened firstly, then Sultan Abdulhamid was removed from the throne.
