%X This study, which focuses on the problems shaping the main approaches in International Relations, aims to present a study on the contributions of Foreign Policy Analysis. As a matter of fact, Foreign Policy Analysis is a field whose position has been discussed in the International Relations discipline, both as its new approaches to foreign policy studies and its connection with other social sciences. In this respect, this article firstly discusses the conceptual framework of Foreign Policy Analysis and its position in the discipline. It starts from assumption that Foreign Policy Analysis, as a foreign policy-based field, is a subfield of International Relations discipline. In the study, ¡°agent-structure¡±, ¡°level of analysis¡±, ¡°foreign policy making¡± and ¡°rationality in foreign policy¡± problems, which are at the canter of International Relations discipline, are discussed. The followed method is to reveal the criticisms of the prominent studies in the field, about these problems. Through criticism made by Foreign Policy Analysis to these problems, the study concludes that the field has remained forefront both by providing theoretical and methodological contributions and by allowing the developments of new perspectives
