Plate and bar graphite were processed with dry ice for 25 hours at 25% of the graphite mass and for 36 hours at 500 rpm rotation speed with stainless steel balls 2-10 mm diameter 10 times as large as graphite mass. The products were washed with acid and dried in a vacuum oven. Product L obtained from the plate was labeled as product K obtained from the bar, graphite oxide GO preliminarily oxidized by Hummer method for comparison purpose. SEM images were taken of the samples and solubility tests were performed with water (s), isopropyl alcohol (i) and chloroform (k). Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) studies were carried out to calculate the specific capacitance values of the samples. Compared with GO in SEM, graphite plates in the L and K graphite oxides produced by dry ice were separated from each other. In the solubility test, it was observed that GO precipitated in water and isopropyl alcohol, did not precipitate in chloroform (GO-k), precipitated in water, did not precipitate in isopropyl alcohol and chloroform, and did not precipitate in water, isopropyl alcohol and chloroform. According to the CV results, the specific capacitance values of the samples obtained by the dry ice process increased by 92% for the K sample in the 3M H2SO4 solution and 28% for the L sample and 84% for the K sample in the 6M KOH solution, respectively, as compared to the GO sample. By increasing the surface area and the capacity of the graphite, this method can increase the amount of energy that can be stored in energy applications and the unnecessary use of many chemicals in graphite oxide production can be removed %K Grafen %K Grafitoksit %K Kuru buz %K D£¿n¨¹£¿¨¹ml¨¹ Voltametri %U http://dergipark.org.tr/bilar/issue/41115/500266
