%0 Journal Article %T A New Record of Water Mite Species (Acari, Hydrachnidia) for the Turkish Fauna: Nilotonia (Manotonia) persica Pe£żi£ż & Saboori, 2006 %A Yunus Esen %J - %D 2019 %X Nilotonia(Manotonia) persicawas described from Iran by Pe£żi£ż and Saboori (2006) based on two females. The females of this species can be distingusihed from other Nilotoniaspecies by the dorsum with two small postocularia platelets and a posteromedial plate, claws on anterior three pairs of legs with one rudimentary peg-like clawlet on inner side, pedipalpal tibia with minute ventral tubercles, postgenital sclerite not enlarged and chelicera relatively slender. Later, the male of N. persicadescribed from Iran by Pe£żi£ż and Vafaei (2009). The males can be distinguished from other species by the claws on anterior three pairs of legs with one rudimentary peg-like clawlet on inner side. In this study, two males and two females of the species were collected from Solhan district of Bing£żl Province in 2017. The specimens collected from Bing£żl Province completely agree with the given characters of N. (Manotonia)persica, previously. This is the second record of water mites of the subgenus Manotoniafrom Turkey.
