%T The Approaches to the Issue of Music in the Late Classical Era from the Seventh until the Thirteenth Century

%X The issues related to listening and playing with music instruments in the history of fiqh are rich of aspects, opinions and arguments. In the all centuries there were many manuscripts discussed this issue, it shows its sensitivity and vitality. The basic question was whether the issue of music is originally permissible or forbidden. According to the first opinion which takes the prohibition point of view, they consider the evidences that allow certain models of singing and musical instruments are the exceptions from the general hukum for certain reasons. However, the other point of view which takes the permissible point of view, they depend on the same texts but the take them as examples of dealing with music in both cases listening and performing in the first three centuries. When the research tried to search about scholars who took one point of view or the other Across historical phases, it has been noticed that there are certain characteristics of each era. In one century the Hadith approach dominated, while in the other century, the mystic/ S¨±f¨©s approach or the jurisprudential approach outweighed the other approach. In another era, a moderate approach is observed, however strict approach is observed in another era. This research, in addition to revealing these views on the issue, tries to analyze the reasons for the emergence of such views, their relations with previous periods, and their influence on later periods. the research chose for this work the booklets which were dedicated only for music issue, in between the seven and thirteen centuries period
