In current conditions, stress has become a part of life. It is impossible to stay away from it. However, it has to be managed. The improvement in the individual¡¯s communication skills and his/her success in social relations decrease the stress level and contribute to the stress management. The most significant key of success is to control such feelings as stress and therefore to increase attention and focusing. In this respect, the aim of this study is to analyse the relation between communication skills of the individuals and their stress management levels. Nonetheless, another purpose of this study is to analyse if there is a rational difference between demographical variables and, the communication and stress management levels of the individuals. In this context, the relation between the variables and the hypothesis that have been theoretically put forward have been tested with the survey results which have been conducted with the purposeful sampling method upon the national athletes (n=62) in Turkey Olympic Preparation Centre in Konya. In addition; descriptive statistics, difference tests in order to determine the difference between the demographical variables and the communication and stress management skills of the individuals, correlation and regression analysis in order to measure the connection and to determine the scope of this connection between the variable of communication skills and the variable of individuals¡¯ stress management levels have been used for the analysis of the research. As a result of this research, it has been made firm that there is a positive, rational (p=0,000) relation between the individuals¡¯ stress management levels and their communication skills. In addition, according to the results of regression analysis, communication skills have a direct and rational effect (¦Â=,512; p=0,000) on individuals¡¯ stress management levels. In this regard, it has been put forward that improving individuals¡¯ communication skills and advancing the quality of their communication have a rational effect on their stress management abilities %K Ki£¿ileraras£¿ £¿leti£¿im %K Stres %K £¿leti£¿im Becerisi %K Stresle Ba£¿a £¿£¿kma %K Birey %U http://dergipark.org.tr/tsbd/issue/36533/414508
