However, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs), commercial and technical surfactant, have been restricted due to their toxic effects on human health and environment. In this study, the APEO-free surfactant mixtures were prepared to determine the effectiveness of the dyeing process in order to achieve the homogeneous and high consumption of the dyeing process of sheepskins. Color measurements of the leather samples treated with APEO-free dye levelling agent were analyzed using Konica Minolta CM-3600d spectrophotometer and dyestuff consumption were determined with the Shimadzu UV-1601 PC UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Light fastness analyses were carried out according to ISO 105-B02 standard test methods and the results were compared. The APEO contents of the dyed leather were also determined. According to the results; prepared dye levelling agents were provided the similar results with APEO-based surfectants in terms of float uptake, obtained color and light fastness values and thus, producibility of eco-benign leather products was revealed by using the APEO-free surface active agents %K boyama %K y¨¹zey aktif madde %K APEO %K ekoloji %K deri %K ekoloji %U http://dergipark.org.tr/comufbed/issue/40663/450404
