%T Vernacular Names and Technical Terms of Turkish Roses

%X The purpose of this article, all agricultural and biological terms related to Tš¹rkiye roses are to offer in detail. The meaning of the terms, origin, story of emergence of information is also included. A current list of Tš¹rkiye roses (almost 70 taxa) are also included in the article. Despite the numerous studies on roses are first described technical terms in this article and collectively. 150 terms in total, relate to agriculture, disease, processing, product storage, marketing and systematic, 50 terms of which are in the literature for the first time. Some rose taxa in Tš¹rkiye indicated that there could not be identified in our study. There were new taxa records. According to this, some changes were made in names and taxa.The localities are very influential given the Turkish names. Turkish names given to a taxon depends mainly on the regions and cultural interaction. The eastern and southeastern Anatolia are influenced by Iran and also Thrace region are influenced from Europe. There is a story about giving every name. A large number of products are manufactured from roses. Processing techniques and customer preferences have led to the emergence of new products and hence new terms. Important of the technical terms in diagnosis of roses are big. Understanding these terms will facilitate systematic studies
