%T Hulasatu¡¯l-Muqarririn: Percolations From Commentary of the Surah al-Fatihah at Lessons in Presence of Sultan

%X These classes which were based on certain methodology and principles had been first started in Ramadan in the year 1172/1759 when Sultan Mustafa IIIrd was in charge and continued until the year 1341/1923. Between the years 1172/1759-1200/1786 there was not a systematic way of choosing the verses commented. However, beginning with the year 1200/1786 the classes started with surah Al-Fatihah onwards based on the Qoranic order. According to some academic it was suggested that recording of the classes might have started in 1238/1823. However, copy number 756m of Kasidecizade collection in Suleymaniye Manuscript Library indicates that presence classes before 1238/1823 could somehow have been recorded. In this article, I will evaluate the epistle named Hulasatu¡¯l-Mukarririn, a commenting on the surah Al-Fatihah and a summary of prensce classes in the year 1200/1786, that has not been mentionebefore in the previous studies in this field.
