%T Women who apply therapeutic abortus¡¯ state and trait anxiety levels and related factors

%X The purpose of this study was to determine the state - trait anxiety levels of women who were hospitalized for a woman 's disease and a maternity hospital due to therapeutic abortion. The personal information form consisting of 40 questions questioning the socio-demographic and obstetric characteristics of women in the collection of the research data and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory developed by Spielberger et al. The mean state anxiety score of the women who were treated with therapeutic abortion was found to be 55.77 ¡À 9.62 while the mean anxiety point of continuous anxiety was found to be 48.11 ¡À 7.20. There was also no statistically significant correlation between the STAI TX-I and II scores and the age of the subjects and their spouses (p> 0.05). However, there was a significant positive correlation between State anxiety score and Continuous anxiety score at 36.4% (p <0.01). In conclusion; women with therapeutic abortion had moderate anxiety, and state anxiety scores were higher than those of continuous anxiety. It was found that the socio-demographic characteristics of the study, the educational status, the anxiety level of the woman, the problem abortion during the pregnancy, and the anxiety level of the abortion
