%X Consumer papers are valuable papers which are given by consumers give due to consumer transaction. But these papers aren¡¯t any type of valuable papers in of themselves, this is just a name of any valuable paper which is drawn by a consumer. These papers are invalid in Turkish law unless they are nominative and if there is an installment transaction, they are separate for each installment. This invalidity is a defense. So these papers are valid unless consumer asserts this defense. But there is a debate in doctrine about this is an absolute defense or a relative defense. There is also a dispute between chambers of Yarg£¿tay about what should be understood from invalidity. Dependent on type of defense, it changes that defense can be asserted against third party
